About AMMT and my massage philosophy

Treat yourself (or a friend) to some precious “me-time” enjoying a wonderfully soothing massage which will fully relax your mind and body, making you feel so special. It is my mission to prove that there is a male therapist out there who you can trust wholeheartedly to take the utmost care of you whilst providing what can only be referred to as a personal service.

As someone who has been fortunate enough over the years to have experienced a wide range of complementary therapies both in this country and abroad, I know how a wonderful massage should feel.  I have always enjoyed the many benefits of receiving massage but at the same time, I found myself comparing the different techniques used and the subtle differences in the way that the massage was applied via different therapists; this fascinated me.

It is very dependent upon the knowledge, experience, training and indeed the personality of the individual therapist and I have found that sometimes, you can come away having received a treatment and felt that although the massage was ‘pleasant’, it didn’t quite leave you feeling ‘floaty’ and tranquil during and at the conclusion of the massage. This effect can vary actually even if the therapist is well-trained because no matter how much they might build upon their knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and massage itself, if they don’t have it within themselves to be able to empathise and really ‘connect’ with the client, then that client will not fully benefit from their experience. For this very reason, in order to take my client to a beautiful calm place in their mind, I too set out to reach my peaceful place from where I can ensure that my client feels truly pampered. Words alone don’t actually do it justice, but I am confident that you will experience a wonderfully positive session as a result.

Perhaps you yourself have previously experienced a professional massage.  Did you feel that during your massage, you were treated as the special VIP you should be?  After all, we are all different so each session should be shaped with your individual needs in mind.  It is because I am able to devote more time to you during your session, that I can really get to know what it is you wish for from your treatment and thereby shape or personalise your precious time to match your mood so that you can truly enjoy a wonderfully liberating experience that is tailor-made just for you, plus you will be allowed plenty of time at the end to bring yourself “back into the room” so to speak before leaving the couch as you will likely have drifted into that dreamy place in your imagination, particularly after the longer sessions.

I should just add here that my clients are extremely important to me and so my overriding priority will always be in maintaining your safety and comfort whilst in my care. (I know that is stating the obvious, but I still think it needs to be said here.)
Also, I am as conscientious about who my clients are as I would expect you to be about your therapist!

You have the choice of experiencing a wonderful holistic massage which simply means that your mind is soothed, cleared of any stress and will sense the benefit in addition to your physical wellbeing as you would expect. Alternatively, you may opt for a Hot Stone Therapy massage which does feel different in that specially selected riverbed-washed basalt stones are used as extensions to my hands to apply the massage and additionally target a penetrating heat into the muscles and body tissues. Apart from being very relaxing, it also helps in warming up those tight muscles in order that I may work more deeply.

During the colder months, I will pre-heat the couch and program it in order that you remain warm and snug during your treatment.

Let the massage help clear your mind of any negativity, anxiety and niggles while at the same time, working to improve your physical wellbeing via a 60, 90 or sumptuous 120-minute session.

Let the massage care for you.  Be comfortable in your own skin and you’ll soon discover that you will not be judged, but you will feel very special, being the unique individual that you are. Please do not be put off should you hold any negative body image or self-esteem issues as these are only in your mind, and you may well find that the power of touch that is derived from receiving regular high-quality massage, will actually help make you feel great about yourself again. Please always remember that your body is unique.

I always hope that my clients would wish to return for more treatments in the future and perhaps even recommend me to friends and family but naturally there is no obligation for you to do so.
